Perserverence and Grit

This week is the first week of home schooling because if covid. For reading we are learning about perserverence and grit. Thats means to never guve uo and try your hardest even when things get tough. Our goal was: Think while reading, pick up new informtion, and come up with new ideas and thinking. We had this text to read about a runner who thought he was fit but he relised that he wasn't because when he went for a run and he got really tired. He wanted to become a good runner so with his friend he practised running every day and won a marathon. He showed perserverence and grit by not giving up on becoming a really good runner..

Here I have made a slideshow with some of the ways I show perserverence and grit in my everyday life.

When are some times when you have shown perserverence and grit?

  1. Hi Lucy
Thanks for sharing your create task for reading. I can see that you have a good understanding what grit and perseverance is. I really like your example about baking the cookies. I have baked so many things in the past that haven't worked but I love cooking (and eating) so I have just kept going. Some things turn out better than you expect and that is always great. What is your favourite thing to bake?
